May 19, 2016Replied by new2linux on topic retrofit Bridgeport Prototrak Plus. This is a 2 axes machine, sold as 2 1/2 axes (fixed z). The red plugs have 3 wires in each red block. When they go to the encoder 7 wires plus 3 more from the power supply go to each drive. I have the manuals that came with the controller, didn't have much in the way of wiring

Mar 07, 2015The Power feed needs to be removed. This is a Bridgeport 6F power feed. I unbolt the power feed unit. And remove it from the machine. Next, I removed the four screws that hold the table bearing bracket in place. The entire leadscrew assembly can now be removed. The bronze longitudinal feed nut needs to be unscrewed from the leadscrew.
